What do we buy
This procurement tool is used for the supply and delivery of various ready mix, site mix, and pre-cast concrete products on an “as and when” requested basis for any authorized representative of a government department, agency or Crown corporation listed in Schedules I, I.1, II, III of the Financial Administration Act, R.S., 1985, c. F-11 for delivery of goods in Canada.
Concrete premixed types per cubic meters:
- 5076 PSI/35 MPA, ¾ inch/19.0 mm stone, 3 inch/80 mm slump with 5 to 8% air entrainment
- 4641 PSI/32 MPA, ¾ inch/19.0 mm stone, 3 inch/80 mm slump with 5 to 8% air entrainment
- 4351 PSI/30 MPA, ¾ inch/80 mm slump with 5 to 8% air entrainment
Pavement types:
- Bulk pavement patch per tonne
- Pavement patch 33.7 kg/50 lb per bag
Cement types:
- Portland cement 36.30 kg/80 lb per bag
- Type “S” masonry cement 30 kg/66.14 lb per bag
Miscellaneous items:
- Rebar 15 mil—6 m length per metre
Additional charges for:
- Winter heat to be utilized from 1 November to 15 April each year
- Retarding admixtures when requested during hot weather concreting
- Set accelerators when requested during cold weather concreting (non-chloride)
- Superplasticizers when requested for hard to access and complex formwork applications
- Pallet charge for pallet not returned to the supplier
- A lot price for each underload driver for orders less than 3 cubic metres
How do we buy
- Client departments can issue call-ups up to $50k (including GST/HST)
- The Public Services and Procurement Canada standing offer authority must issue the call-up for amounts exceeding $50k
- There will be 1 offeror per region

Value / Savings / Considerations
As a result of the business volume, economies of scale are generated by the use of the standing offers. Canada benefits from having quick access to selection of various ready mix, site mix, and pre-cast concrete products as well as being able to use an efficient procurement method to fulfill their requirements.
