What do we buy

Public Services and Procurement Canada is to establish an RMSO for government departments, agencies, Crown corporations, and organizations participating in the Canadian Collaborative Procurement Initiative (CCPI).

This procurement tool is used for the supply and delivery of boxed lunches and prepared sandwiches on an as and when requested basis, in the Ontario region.

The Ontario Region has been divided into the following delivery zones:

How do we buy

Socio-economic aspects

Green procurement: Green criteria will be included as mandatory technical criteria. Environmental commitments will be included in the request for standing offer and will be part of the financial evaluation. The submission of response to environmental commitments is optional, and the preferential margin will be applied only to the initial financial evaluation, and not to the rebid process.

Small and medium-sized enterprises: opportunity is open to all bidders of all sizes (open bidding).

Social procurement: The CCPI template that will be used for this procurement includes voluntary Social Procurement Supplier Self-Identification form.

Value / Savings / Considerations

As a result of the business volume, economies of scale are generated by the use of the SOs. Canada benefits from having quick access to boxed lunches, particularly in emergency situations.
