SUBJECT: New Name for the Superannuation, Pension Transition and Client Services Sector

1. PURPOSE

1.1. The purpose of this bulletin is to advise client departments and agencies that the official name of the Superannuation, Pension Transition and Client Services Sector (SPTCSS) of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), also known as the Superannuation Sector, has changed to Public Service Pension Centre (PSPC).

2. PROCEDURES

2.1. Effective immediately, client departments and agencies are to use the new name in all communication and correspondence.

2.2. Please note that it will take several months to update the Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) forms to reflect this change. Meanwhile, compensation advisors should continue to use the existing forms.

2.3. The Superannuation Administration Manual (SAM), other relevant compensation manuals and "Your Public Service Pension and Benefits" (YPSPB) Web portal YPSPB-Welcome will be gradually updated with the new name.

2.4. The PSPC telephone system uses the following greeting: "Thank you for calling the Public Service Pension Centre," followed by the phrase "formerly known as the Superannuation Sector".
