SUBJECT: Changes to Departmental Mailing Addresses for Interdepartmental Settlements (IS) 060 Detail Statements Generated by Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) Payroll Accounting Office

1. PURPOSE

1.1 The purpose of this directive is to advise you of changes to the departmental mailing points for IS 060 Detail Statements issued as a result of a payroll transaction through the Regional Pay System.

2. BACKGROUND

2.1 With the commencement of April 1996 business (Period 01 fiscal year 1996/97) payroll accounting and remittance activities for all PWGSC Regional Pay Offices will be consolidated to a centralized Payroll Accounting Office (PAO) which will be located in the National Capital Region.

3. POLICY

3.1 Effective with April 1996 business processing, IS 060 Detail Statements issued by the Payroll Accounting Office as a result of a payroll transaction through the Regional Pay System will be directed to the client department address for the particular Internal Transactor (INTRA) number relating to the transaction. This process corresponds to the instructions contained in Receiver General Directive 1984-10. In the past, these Detail Statements were directed by the PWGSC Regional Offices to the individual Pay and Benefits Office responsible for the particular paylist.

4. PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 Effective with Fiscal Year 1996/97 business, PWGSC Pay Offices must ensure that the proper INTRA number for distribution is identified on the transaction. The IS 060 Detail Statement will be distributed by INTRA number based on the Interdepartmental Settlement Contact List maintained by PWGSC.
