SUBJECT: Translation Group - Pay Supplements

1. PURPOSE

1.1 The purpose of this directive is to provide you with the appropriate entitlement codes for the payment of the pay supplements included in the Translation (TR) Group collective agreement.

2. BACKGROUND

2.1 The new collective agreement for the TR Group (BUD 31300) was signed on July 9, 1998, and provided new pay supplements.

3. POLICY

3.1 The payment criteria for the new pay supplements are provided under Appendix A, "Pay Notes 7 (d) (ii), (e), (f), (g) and (h)" of the Collective Agreement.

4. PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 The pay supplements listed in the collective agreement, Appendix A, Pay Notes 7 (d), (e) and (f) are to be reported by departments using the existing entitlement code 343 "Supplement Multilingual Service".

Please note that payments for pay note 7 (f) are to be reported as lump sum.

4.2 The pay supplements listed in the collective agreement, Appendix A, Pay Notes 7 (a), (b), (c), (g) and (h) are to be reported by departments using entitlement code "083 - Pay Supplement".

Please note that payments for pay notes 7 (g) and (h) are to be reported as lump sum.
