SUBJECT: Premium Rate Change for the Ottawa Civil Service Recreational Association
1. PURPOSE
1.1 The purpose of this directive is to advise compensation advisors of a change in the monthly premium rates for the Ottawa Civil Service Recreational Association - Deduction code 789, effective July 1, 2006.
2. POLICY
2.1 Effective July 1, 2006, the Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) was reduced to 6%. The GST applies to the Ottawa Civil Service Recreational Association and therefore, the monthly premium rates were reduced accordingly.
2.2 The revised rates are as follows:

3. PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 The premium rate changes were automatically processed by the Regional Pay System (RPS) on July 12, 2006, for pay cycle 2 of July 2006.
